Personal Identity Theft To help protect your identity, the Ontario Government has introduced a new Identity Theft Statement. This statement outlines the steps you should take in the event you become a victim. One of their key recommendations in how you can avoid becoming a victim of identity theft is:
The Ministry of Consumer and Business Affairs has much information available concerning identity theft, protecting your identity, what to do if you are a victim of identity theft, who to contact if you are a victim and a discussion of Ontario's new Identity Theft Statement.
